I think Lawrence misses a trick by releasing the Felt records through Cherry Red, I'm sure someone like Domino (if interested) would do a better job, lend the series more gravitas and attract more new fans than the pretty ropey and cheapo CR.
I saw an advert from the US label, Captured Tracks, announcing vinyl reissues of Goldmine Trash and Bubblegum Perfume, by the way.
Yeah, I think you're right about Cherry Red. But they were his first label, and he has his publishing with them, so I think there's a lot of reasons for him to stay. That being said, why is all his stuff out of print? Obviously people want it. He may not Coldplay, but can't they figure out basic supply and demand? Plus, I hope they're not reissuing everything again since I just tracked down all the 2004 reissues (except Train to the City, which is sort of okay since that's their weakest record).
