Another hot week with surface temps on Rangeley in the high 70s on Wednesday afternoon, I was hiding under the roof of my boat and hoping for the slightest breeze.


A couple of trips this week were slow indeed with just 5 strikes one morning resulting in one trout in the boat for Zachary and an evening with Eric Armour from Rhode Island produced 2 salmon and a few strikes that didn’t hook up.




On a better note Ken Burton and his friends Tina and Bob had a good morning on Tuesday boating 5 salmon with one female fish being 4.4 lbs and 23” long.


Wednesday was just as productive as I fished with Rick, Rick and Rich,( no kidding here) we had just two hours to fish that flat calm morning and we boated 4 salmon with doubles at one point. I ‘m putting up the photos this afternoon in my photo gallery so go have a peek.
