On Wednesday I awoke to gusting winds and steady rain, not the weather one would order for a mornings fishing but we weren’t about to let that stop us. My friend Doug Brooks had brought two of his children Mike and Maggie, who are diehard fisherman. Aside from the weather we had a great day eventually boating 14 fish in 3.5 hours, one trout and 13 salmon, only one sublegal fish in the bunch and a lot of 2.5 to 3lb fish that fought well and provided plenty of excitement for Mike and Maggie. What a pleasure it was to watch these two kids have so much fun enjoying spectacular salmon fishing on Rangeley. A truly great day was had by all. Look for these pictures in my gallery next week
