Hello, My father was William J. Barnatt, Company Commander of "I" Co. 3rd Raider Bn. on Bougainville, then in 1945 Co. Commander "L" 3rd Bn. 9th Marines on Iwo Jima. I have his Ka Bar knife and i am trying to restore the handle. I need afew pieces of leather which is easy, but most important is i need the exact measurements of the pommel/ end cap. This knife had the tang peened onto the pommel, not pinned through the pommel. If anyone knows of someone with this same knife and can take measurements for me i would greatly appreciate it.
