We are looking to move into the Marden area. Can any-one help give us abit more information on the area? What is the hacking like, is there bridleways that link up & places that could be used to do canter work? Is there any local outdoor schools (indoor for wet days!!!) that are hired out? (Other than Bromyard & Tack Farm) If we were to put one in would people be interested in hiring it? Would people in the area be intrested if training sessions were organised in anything from dressage to horses agility.. Any information or thoughts would be apprecitated.
Marden is a very horsey place, there are a few liverys there, plenty of bridle paths and one or two places to gallop. Marden does have its own pony club which is now being ran mainly in Bodenham, you can look up there site on the net. Just a thought but you may tred on toes if your thinking of setting up a club in the village as theres has been running now for over 20 years now. As far as i no, no one has an indoor school to let out for public use however theres a few people that have meanges in the area. Hope thats of some help to you :)
Thanks for the infomation, its handy to know there are bridleways etc. We wouldnt be looking to start any sort of club! More if we were having a lesson & some-one wanted to share.
Just a very polite correction - Marden & District Riding Club originated in Marden 25 years ago, later moving base to Bodenham. It is an unaffiliated Riding Club open to all ages & not actually a Pony Club
