My 4 yr old has started to nap when being taken out alone,he has only just started this since our little shetland was put back in with him and my other horse,he spins in the road and half rears turning for home and is basically horrible!,I am working through it by hacking him past the house and turning and then making him go back again until he is behaving,I have only started this today and wondered if anyone has any tips to help!,I take a schooling whip with me but try to ignore him and just turn him back again being firm but calm,using the whip very lightly just as a back up if needed.I'm hoping its just a baby strop faze and taking him out regularily on his own will solve it!I have had a chiropractor out to check his back,hes had a saddler to check his saddle and dentist too so have covered those angles just in case!!.
