I do applaud Sally for setting up this site, to inform members of events and offer help and advise, but I feel it should also give members the chance to be made aware of places to avoidable .
That yard thrives on a lot of inexperienced horse owners and hence gets away with murder(as they say).
Although the yard was not mentioned by name and could not be, anyone in the area looking for a livery yard
might now be more aware.
Basically , if they ask you for a deposit(why? You might never see it again)
If they insist you buy the of them be suspicious.
If they promise certain things, make it a condition in the contract, that you will have the option to leave without giving notice.
