The Bible is an unprecedented book. In my search I discovered some unique and amazing facts that are true of this book and no other. 40 authors contributed to the writing of the 66 books encapsulated in the bible over a 2000 year span. What makes this so astounding is that these multiple authors over such a great period of time created a single book that flows from cover to cover without contradiction or error all the while building on its great themes. It boldly declares Prophecy with unerring accuracy. Hundreds of prophecies have already been fastidiously fulfilled and you can guarantee with this track record all will be fulfilled in their due time. Search this out yourself it is in print for all to see.

One thing man is very good and successful at is destruction. All through history the Bible has been the object of hostility by man. It has been burned, outlawed, subverted by the church, ridiculed and refuted. Yet it is still around today and is the most read book ever written. Man may beat his sword against the word of God but God's word will always stand.

Consider this last point how you may. Many believers throughout the ages have been put to violent deaths for their beliefs in the bible and its message. What other book just for owning it would cause his owner to be put to death. If it is just a fairy tale or loose history as many of its critics claim and such persecution results to the owners of this book. I would be careful with next history or children's book I put in my library less I suffer this same persecution.

Many assume that the KJV they have is the same one as published in 1611. But during the three years after 1611 there were 14 minor revisions. Then more important changes were made to the KJV in 1629, 1638, 1762, and 1769.
King James told his board of translators not to deviate from the Bishop’s Bible instead of just using the Greek text when translating. The Bishop’s Bible had already been translated interpretively instead of literally as it should have been.
In the preface to the earlier revisions the board of translators wrote this message.
“The whole history of Bible translation in any language is a history of repeated revision and correction.”
