Do any of you have a Peer Support team in your department? Or have heard of these types of teams? I live in CA. and am a team member at my department as well as being on the board for the Ca. Peer Support Assoc. We are trained to de-brief fellow workers involved in critical incidents or traumatic events, and just to generally be there to lend an ear or a hand. Confidentially is paramount for the success of the program. As CSO's and in some places PSO,s we are already the support system of the PD.
