I can tell you that I have been trying to get into a CSO job for a while now, still with no luck. Normally it wouldnt bother me and I would keep trying, but I have over four years in emergency management dealing with things similar in nature to what a CSO does and I still cannot get a job.

The only difficulty I see is the limited amount of positions available. There is only one CSO position for every 15-20 sworn positions at any given Dept. Given that ratio, its basically being in the right place at the right time.

Getting A CSO job isnt hard at all...If you have a clean background, and show good jugement, and cource a good sence of humor you should have no problem in obtaining a CSO position. Do you want to become a Police Officer?
