Hey all-
I'm a new reserve police officer. I've been lurking about these forums for a while now and I've even post a time or two. I just thought I'd let y'll know I just started my new job today. One thing that I find somewhat odd is I am to wear a vest at all times, but we aren't issued any type of defense?? No OC or baton. Our Sargent is working OC and she says we will have it very soon. We do a lot of over night parking enforcement and drunk patrol downtown. We also patrol at the university sporting events for fights and underage drinking. And lastly for our vehicles, it's jsut an ordinary police car.
