Re: ARE THERE ANY OF YOU THAT CAN RUN CODE TO A CRASH???

I believe CSOs from West Covina PD in California are allowed to run code 3 (lights and siren) to injury traffic collisions.

Re: Re: ARE THERE ANY OF YOU THAT CAN RUN CODE TO A CRASH???

I am allowed to run Code-3 to crashes. When I started, the most I was allowed to do was run Code 2. My reasoning for change was that it didn't make any sense for me to stop at a light only to have a patrol car blow by. The main reason anyone runs Code-3 is to provide first-aid if there are injuries, otherwise you would run 2 like a non-injury. I pointed out that I could provide first-aid as well as a patrol officer and frequently get there sooner. It helps that I am a former medic and reserve officer with prior training.
