Thanks very much

I have seen your derogatory entry on Mike's site (5th July): "Even this step brings out retrograde statements, wrongful accusations and oh so delicate pleas of being 'scarred for life'". Your accusation of Silver's "knee-jerk" response is no more than what you yourself have now done. You had it put to you in a polite enough manner that for some of us at least, the subject matter that you put onto the forum concerning identity was of a sensitive nature for what should be obvious reasons. You have treated that request with contempt. Cope's song is only relevant because people like you make the world a "tough place." And how it is that you can start preaching again about the identity of people that have been shown to be innocent of your accusations (not shown to be innocent by their accusor that is, they were left to do that for themselves weren't they?) after you were the cause of the cessation of Silver's posts in the first place, is something that redefines audacity. He left after all of your very public statements that were supported at the end by those who are obviously well acquainted with you.

We have all suffered as a result. And you have never even apologised to this forum or Silver and Deebank.

I have taken a look at the recent pages on the forum and you very much come across as judge, jury and executioner. It does not surprise me that you keep getting into conflicts because you insist on clashing even when you do not have an intelligent argument. And for you to talk about having given Silver "a thrashing" is absolutely laughable. He had you on the ropes at every turn. Even then he had the good grace to retire from the forum with dignified statements, obviously with the good of the forum in mind, while at the same time creating circumstances that saw you make your own very undignified withdrawl; a withdrawl and a promise that you have embarrassingly given up in a matter of weeks. I do not know what this issue is that you have about people's identity, but it looks to me as though you either work for M.I.5 or the Fraud Squad and you just can't turn off from your work at the end of the day, or it is some sort of an obsession and compulsion. You also have an uncontrollable temper.

Mike is still in some doubt about who's who, "we've sent a fanzine hopefully in the direction of Deebank." How do you know it isn't Silver forging the signature for example?

Thanks very much for your sensitivity I must say. And no, I'm not Silver or Deebank.

Re: Thanks very much

I think that we do have to be aware that some Felt fans are very gentle creatures. There is a very good piece of writing on the following site: "Birmingham: it's not ****", that sums this idea up with a nice turn of phrase:

"They were beloved of delicate women and effete (feminine)young men for whom The Smiths, for instance, were just a litle too rough (rather like most Mancunian bands who fancy themselves as ‘arty’). In their ambition and vision, Felt made Morrissey’s pretentions look like those of a shopfitter from Salford."

Lovely that, I think.

""Even this step brings out retrograde statements, wrongful accusations and oh so delicate pleas of being 'scarred for life'"."

I stand by that completely. You are STILL making wrongful accusations. I was not "obviously well acquainted" with the people who supported my posts - they happened to agree with what I said - I don't even know these people! As I have said MANY TIMES before - Silver had upset people before I even entered the debate. He also said that PM's were the reason for his departure - messages I did not even send! Get your facts right! Yes I do have a temper but it's because I continually have to deal with people who make judgements about me before reading the entire transcripts.

Regarding apologies - Silver should have apologised to us - not the other way round - I and others were defending ourselves at the time - something I still find myself doing after I submitted the POSITIVE post of Deebank's signature on my ticket.

The world is a tough place - and I'm thankful that you have considered me important enough on the scope of this planet to be able to have made it so! I certainly don't.

And - re Nigel's dignified exit -

"I won't waste my time on the feckless, fatuous fanatics that have the intelligence level of a half-witted house brick any longer. You were born ignorant and that is what you will remain for the rest of your lives."

Call that dignified?

Re: Thanks very much

Wow, this again? Unbelievable.

In response to the (to my mind unprovoked) outburst from 'Thresher', if you've read the thread you'll see that I also criticised the tone and content of some of Mr. Silver's posts (which, in my opinion, became needlessly belligerent) and I can assure you I've never met Lee in my life.

What really seems odd to me is that you are seemingly resurrecting this whole matter three weeks after Lee's last post. If you consider the whole Silver / Deebank issue to be 'best left alone', why return to it at all? Bizarre. You also go to great lengths to distance yourself from the Silver / Deebank camp whilst displaying a strikingly similar style of prose to them both, which (to the conspiratorially-minded) might suggest you're more 'well acquainted' with Silver than any of his critics are with each other.
Just an observation...

Re: Thanks very much

I've not long caught up with all the shenanigans & I have to say that I totally agree with Ciaran and Lee.
The Many Personas of Maurice Deebank are a deluded, paranoid and bitter bunch. There's only one person you (Maurice/Nigel/Thrasher ad nauseum) need to address your concerns to and it is terribly poor form to take it out on us fans.
I, like Lee and Ciaran, love and treasure your music but you have done your worst to besmirch it with your verbose and ill-aimed witterings.
Your postings began innocently enough with tantalising titbits but soon descended into quite nasty and personal insults, therefore despite some desperados blaming Lee for your departure(s), I believe we are well rid.
I understand that it is always difficult when one peaks early in one's career and consequently finds it impossible to replicate the intensity of such a rich creative outpouring.
Good Luck with that and addressing those unresolved issues: what a shame it had to end this way.....

Re: Thanks very much

All I have to say is I do not believe Thresher is in the same perceived group as Mr Deebank and Mr Silver. The style of vocabulary is markedly different. As for the existence of the aforementioned group of two the jury is out. Thank you both for endorsing my comments - it has been a trial continually going over the same old ground defending myself. I will say however that after the heated correspondence with "Anonymous" on the other site the person in question rechecked their info and we both mutually apologised for getting heated. And no, Thresher - I am not well acquainted with these people.

Re: Thanks very much

Goodness. I didn't expect all this. You really shouldn't feel attacked by me Lee. My initial comments were a positive criticism and a firm request, but not an attack. Like you I feel unhappy about things that have happened on the forum. It's just that we are upset about different things. My post above was an angry response to mocking remarks that you made about my sensibilities on Mike's site.

I hope that you can see and accept this now, but if not, then not to worry, life will go on.

As for these two other commentators, I don't know who they are or what they want. My address was to you and you alone. Whereas one makes a series of irrelevant remarks where I am concerned, the latter..., well, that's something that's just best left alone I think. Especially if there are unofficial attempts at diagnosing serious mental health issues in members of the public, if you know what I mean. I certainly wouldn't be grateful for any such support. It doesn't mean anything.

Anyway I hope that something of considerable interest turns up of the forum soon as it has gone quite boring lately. Be sure to list anything if it turns up.

Oh, I think you did.

Good. Hope it's a blast.

You don't know who we are? Lee's mates on the darts team, of course! I seem to recall it was you who announced that we were all 'well acquainted', thus bringing us in to this rather pointless dispute.

Ah, the old arch, campy sign-off. Sorry that laying into people on forums isn't as entertaining as watching the fire brigade fight your latest 'creation'. I hope your future endeavours are more exciting. Jah bless.
