Went to the Kilburn Screening of "Larence Of Belgravia" last night. Lawrence was on fine form again for Q & A, no massive new revelations but a vague indication of live dates in the near future (I wasn't convinced). He was selling copies of the "New World" single - £5 (sorry folks...) and they gave us promo cards for "Hot Dog Streets" and the Felt Book as we left. 3rd time I've seen the film now (including the short rough cut at The Barbican way back) but still enjoyable. My favourite bit is probably when the two kids go running excitedly to the front door "it's Lawrence! it's Lawrence!" and start hugging him.
I posted the below in the 'Sheffield screening' thread but thought I'd ask here in case you don't read that one. Anyway...
"Oh yeah, has the film been re-edited? They didn't seem to show the scene with Lawrence reading from the Scooby-Doo play he wrote as a child but there did seem to be a new scene with Lawrence learning the French lyrics to New World in the Morning."
Did you notice this or am I just imagining things?
