I just got back from a grief retreat with the P.O.M.C. support group. It was awesome. So comforting. It was a three day retreat up in Pine, Arizona. An elderly couple who their 11 year old daughter was murdered in 1984...have a cabin in Pine and named it Christy's house. P.O.M.C. holds this retreat every year in October. This was my second time there. Last year it had only been five months that my son had been murdered and I was a mess. I could not even mention his name without crying. We have to do written excersises and I kept my notes from last year and compared them to the ones of this retreat and I am amazed at the improvment that I have made on this journey of grief. I have met some wonderful people at these retreats. How I wish that we moms here could have something like this.
