Lisa's Story

LISA MAAS - Rob Wesley (5/31/2008 at home)

Lisa was, so vibrant.
Heart upon her sleeve.
Shared her life, so freely.
And now with all, who grieve.

REFRAIN:
She progressed, before us,
Senseless tragedy,
Took her from among us,
Now for us, she grieves.

She would wish, our memories,
To sustain, her years.
To carry on, her causes,
Her presence on the breeze.

REFRAIN:
(instrumental)

Take her life, now freely,
Her heart belongs, to you.
Her spirit lives, continues,
Inspired in mem'ries true.

Remember me, who knew me,
Know the best, in me.
Be my life, continued,
By your thoughts, of me.

This song was written for our daughter by a compassionate man whe we met through our Ebay which we did before this happened. Although he didn't know her it perfectly describes our daughter. We are in the early stages of our nightmare so media is avoided and not welcome but we would like to share our story. The initial media contact was only made so that Lisa could be remembered for how beautiful and special she was instead of the media's pathetic attempt to sell newspapers based on her last 10 minutes of life. The following websites will allow us to share her story as that is important to all of us.

The following link gives background information on investigations that followed relating to, our health systems failures: and we do believe Lisa would still be with us if someone had just done their job:

Thank you all for allowing me to share our story and sharing yours to us. While we aren't always posting on the board we do follow it daily for support. We are the only ones that can feel each others pain and can all say we have walked in your shoes.
