Rangeley Lake & Fly fishing

There's more trout than salmon being caught on Rangeley this season. The trout are in real good shape. The salmon that we have caught are also looking good. The largest that we have caught was 22& 1/2" and weighed 41/2 lbs. We heard of 1 that was in the 71/2lb. range but not verified. All in all the fishing has been fair and I don't think all this rain is helping. The depth is still 35 to 45 feet. Fly fishing even tho the dams are running high has been quite good just fishing the edges along the banks of the outlets. Upper Dam produced some really nice fish last week. Streamers and nymphs being the way to go.
