I'm hoping that folks might weigh in. I am curious about the relative health of Saddleback Lake as a Brook Trout Fishery. The reason I ask is that I fish that Lake religiously for about 1 week each year during July. -- all fly fishing, all catch and release. Last year I landed a 10" brookie on a dry fly, looked like a stockie tho. I put her back.

I've seen some splashy rises over the years, but mostly at a distance...

I am curious if folks are willing to weigh in on tactics to try in this lake in early July. And, if folks might weigh in on how the native fish are holding in that lake. It seems to warm up quite fast and so I wonder.
