Rangeley Fishing

Fished Rangeley from the 5th to the 8th.
Average catch from dawn to 8:00am was a dozen assorted brookies and salmon.
Surface temp was 62, best depth was 15' to 33'. Both leadcore and downriggers produced, copper needlefish, suttons and Top guns worked the best.
Biggest trout was 17", salmon was 23"
Very nice change from fishing the lakes region in NH, hoping to go back in late August.

Re: Rangeley Fishing

Hi thanks for the fishing report. I will be going up in early August and conditions are usually different than early July but it is still nice to see reports of what other people are doing. I keep waiting for Master guidesman Shawn Swain to make some posts here as I come to this page almost daily as we get closer to our trip. Again thanks for the post. Bob Herman
