Ice out update

Ice out in Rangeley Lake is only days away, the forecast looks good with highs in the 60s and wind. It continues to recede from shoreline but does not yet have any large cracks or openings from one side to the other. I would like to report that it will be ice free by weeks end but with these overnight lows in the 20s it is not melting around the clock. I will let you know as it changes.
