Hatches

The hatches have been coming on all ponds now and the fishing has been very good. Quimby pond had an excellent hatch of it's annual large caddis and the fish responded but only for 3 or 4 days then the water temperature soared to almost 80 degrees and even though the caddis were still coming the fish would not rise, they were down into the spring holes, so that ended the good fishing. Some of the more remote ponds are still producing with good catches reported. The big lakes have slowed down but some fishermen are catching fish. About 2 weeks ago we weighed in 3 salmon over 6 pounds. Nice fish!!!
