Deer Hunting Season

Sorry for the late report...it's been a bust season. The snow held up very well for 3 of the 4 weeks and the deer harvest was up for our area. The last week I hunted with 2 men from Pa. and on Thanksgiving morning we found and shot a very nice 9 point 209 lb. buck, if shot 2 weeks earlier would have weighed around 250 lbs. but because of the rutting activity there is a 20 to 25% weight loss. It's been a good deer season and now it's time to start tying flies and get ready for fishing. I wish everyone happy and healthy holidays and see you in the spring.
