The first week of deer season brought some very cold weather and snow. The thermometer dropped to 7 degrees and the snow accumulated up to 10" in the mountains, great for hunting. I hunted with a father and son, the father living in Florida, the son in the Portland area. We hunted hard all week and did manage to bag a nice 160 lb. buck, shooting at 2 more bucks which unfortunately are still running. Happy but tired hunters. On to week #2, with the prediction of warm weather. More news next week.
