Rangeley Lake

I'm going up Sunday for my first trip ever to this lake and looking for a little guidance. We're staying on the north west part of the lake. Any suggestions on certain spots or lures to use? And any local ponds that I could fish for some smallies. Thanks for the help

Re: Rangeley Lake

The best lures for our area are DB smelt or sewn smelt and u should fish them between 40' and 50' deep. Fish in 70 to 90 feet of water. There are no smallmouth bass in our area and be sure to check a law book because 95% of our streams are fly casting only!!!many of our ponds are also.
Tight lines
good luck
