flyfishing for brookies with my kids

Hello, I am from out in Montana and have moved to the midcoast part of Maine. Trying to get my kids some flyfishing experience around your region. I think Rangeley Lake would be too big and the fish are probably down deep this time of year. I was wondering if there is any smaller water accessible by hiking that I could get them going? I sure would appreciate any insight.

Re: flyfishing for brookies with my kids

A very nice stream to get your children into some brookies would be the upper Cupsuptic River above Big Falls. The fish will not be very large but there are many to be caught and they are native.
Good luck
