Dodge Pond access?

I'm planning to be up in the Rangeley area this weekend (Aug. 17-19) and have heard that Dodge Pond can be a nice spot. Where/how can it be accessed?

On a related note, any tips on good spots to take kids fishing in the area would also be appreciated. I realize it's a tough time of year unless you can go deep, and I don't think we'll have the means to troll.
