The Institute of Development Studies is seeking a Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Specialist for a fixed term maternity cover contract, starting in August and based in Brighton, UK. This is our second round of recruitment for this position. As our first round was not successful we are now in a position to sponsor a visa for a non-EU national. We are also open to exploring the option of a secondment with a like-minded organisation.

The post is within the Knowledge, Impact and Policy team and will be focused on MEL of research and knowledge projects. The core duties will be to manage and implement a portfolio of MEL work that will include, designing and implementing MEL plans, administration of M&E data, interviewing development actors and supporting report writing. The MEL team also leads on institutional reporting and learning as well as exploring new ideas, approaches and methods to measure research to policy linkages and better understand uptake and impact. The post-holder will be expected to manage competing responsibilities with support on setting priorities from the MEL Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new and evolving team in a stimulating institutional environment with a diverse and dynamic portfolio of work.
