Associate Director, Research and Evaluation for ARK

Ark is an international charity, transforming lives through education. We exist to give every young person a great education and real choices in life.
Ark's Education Partnerships Group (EPG) exists to ensure that every child receives an excellent education regardless of their background. We provide services and support to governments in developing countries to help strengthen education systems through smarter accountability and effective partnerships with the non-state schooling sector. We work at global, national, and sub-national level to improve the capacity and policy environment required to deliver high quality education, and to build a high quality and competitive market of non-state school operators able to partner with government to serve disadvantaged communities.

Associate Director, Research and Evaluation
London, with international travel
Salary: £65,000-£75,000, depending on experience

Ark-EPG seeks an Associate Director, Research and Evaluation, to drive the generation of policy-relevant data and research from our growing portfolio of programmes, and to use this to contribute to the global evidence base on PPPs and education systems reform.

We are looking for an inspiring leader with a proven track record of leading and growing a portfolio of research ventures, and contributing to the global debate on what works in education. You will have deep experience in research, preferably in an international and education context, and an advanced degree with emphasis on quantitative subjects. You will have experience of acting as an external ambassador for your organisation with the gravitas and personal communication style to effectively influence the global debate on education, establishing ARK-EPG's voice and reputation in this space. A shared sense of urgency to address the injustice in the current state of education systems, that are failing to give children the education they need and deserve, will be essential.
