Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer
In support of INASP’s aim to ‘put research and knowledge at the heart of development’ you will provide expert support to Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning work in the organisation. Working alongside INASP’s programme teams and partners, you will support the design, development and implementation of high quality and appropriate M&E and learning processes and systems that uphold INASP’s reputation as a strong critically reflective and analytical organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor, you will:
Key Responsibilities
• Support monitoring, evaluation and learning activities
o Support the monitoring and evaluation of INASP’s programmes
o Support critical thinking and learning processes such as reflection and review processes, TOC development and clarification, log frames and results frameworks
o Oversee internal data collection processes
o Support annual planning of M&E work and budget alongside the M&E officer(s), in conjunction with programme teams
• Support programme teams as well as provide MEL support to partners directly as required
o Develop M&E & learning components for new programme proposals, including M&E budgets
o Manage relationships your relationship with programme teams to ensure a supportive and collaborative work environment
• Support the development of new MEL funding opportunities for evaluations and other areas of MEL
• Oversee the collation and analyses of MEL data
You will have:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies both quantitative and qualitative.

• Strong experience of data management
• Strong experience in designing and implementing M&E activities in a NGO or research setting
• Positive attitude to working with non M&E specialists and appreciation of the contribution others can make
• Strong people skills; considerable experience of collaborative work
• Willingness to travel up to 35 days per year within the UK and Internationally
Terms:
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 (some flexibility depending on skills and experience)

Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2018
