Imagine...
...u are quickly crossing the road to reach ur friends on the other side and haven't bothered to look for cars coming or anything...you think, "oh ill be ok - ill just run to the other side and it will be fine!". But, when u reach the middle of the road, u see a huge articulated lorry hurtling towards you and there is no escape - u are soooooooo shocked that you cannot move and there is no time for the lorry to slow down...u are going to die and that is that. ...your most hated enemy who you have been trying to avoid and spite all your life sees that your life is in danger and runs full pelt into the road... he pushes you to safety on the other side as he is sucked under the lorry and painfully dies in your place. ...when you have recovered from the shock etc, and find out that your enemy died for you, instead of being sorry for all the grief you caused him and thanking his family etc, you continue to hate him and his loved ones and live as you did before!!! Ok...this make beleive story does sound a bit far fetched but this is exactly what Jesus did for you!!! Let me explain... None of us are perfect and we have all chosen to do what we want in life and live to please ourselves and not God, the one who lovingly created us to be in relationship with Himself - the Bible says 'For all have sinned and come short of God's glory.' We have all done wrong things, however big or small and have refused to acknowledge that God is the one we should be living for. Most of us think that we will be fine in life - we have never murdered or anything so we will be ok and get to Heaven in the end! However, the Bible explains that sin cannot go unpunished, that means all of us deserve the punishment. But because God loved us (and still does love us) sooooooo much, he didnt want us to suffer the terrible punishment (eternity in Hell). Therefore, he came to earth in human form and died the most painful death so that we could be forgiven and be at peace with God. Through His sacrifice on the cross we can live in relationship with God and one day go to live with Him in Heaven......the Bible says 'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.' ...Even though this sacrifice has been made and there is a way to escape the eternal punishment of Hell, some people continue to live their on own way. They ignore the one who saved their life and continue to live to spite and disobey Him. Will you accept His free gift of eternal life and live for Him or will you ignore the price that was paid for you? It's your choice - will you accept or reject your saviour? I asked God to forgive me when i was just six and ive never regreted it since...God is real and he cares about everyone! You dont have to believe me, but i know for sure that it's true!!! plz email bac...and ill try and answer any questions you have  from sis in christ
