Over the Hedge
Yep yet another cartoon of quirkt characters and token funny bits. There are some great themes in this film, about trust, who we follow, leadership, taking adantacge of people, but for me it has to be the "family theme" The loner raccon, represnts many of us who for whatever reason like to go life alone, we get along, do our thing, use people for our needs then leave when we have what we want or the going gets tough. During a conversation with a homeless man we chatted long about people abusing us, mates leaving us, yet God promises never to leave us. AS not having great family life, I loved belonging to the wider Church and knowing that there are peole of faith hope and trust, and willing to give geniune chances to people. Like the racoon, life has taught me survival guides and to trust no body, and those you love only end up leaving you. This little cartoon reminded me that IN Gods family there is a second chance, and that there is a family who wants you as you are. Some touching clips in this film which annoys me as I genreally hate these cartoon type films grrrrr
