Devil Mwuaahhhh
I was just wondering what the exact story of the fall of lucifer was. Is Satan, the devil and Lucifer all the same person? What do you believe happened? |

I've gotta admit I'm not completely sure about the story, since I haven't read it for a while...[looks it up on the internet]... Here's some of the verses from the bible that talk about it. "You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in the Garden of Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones." "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest side of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High." It seems as if it isn't one story, but a jumble of different verses put together. And yes, I believe that that all of those names you mentioned are all the same person - the devil. Good question THEOPTOMIST |

I was doing a little light reading, well I say light, and I came across a theory about Lucifer. It basically said this. Satan, Lucifer and the devil are not the same person. Satan works for 'God' by sorting through who believes and who doesnt believe. This can apparently be seen in the book of Job (though it does go a bit). The devil is the fallen who rules hades/hell or whatever else you want to call it. Basically he's the one who burns in sulphur and had pitch forks etc etc. Lucifer is just the left hand of 'God' who told the king of Babylon about the fall of the city or something like that. He is the morning star. What do you think of that? |

I think most Christians would say they're all the same person. The thing is, nobody calls him "Lucifer" anymore - that was only before he fell. They all call him satan or the devil, so maybe that's what that thing you read was about: the fact that he might be called different things when refering to different aspects of his life. But its still all the same person as far as I know... THEOPTOMIST |

Lucifer, Satan, "The Devil", Baelzebub, whatever you wanna call him you may call him. He has many names, but is only one being, unlike the Holy Trinity which is composed of three into one. Lucifer was his pre-fall name, meaning "One who is light" I believe. Pride took over in his heart, and he sought out to "be like the Most High God." He was the most divine angel, he had authority over all others. Imagine that! Pride, greed, anger, resentment, and pretty much every negative trait took over. That is when he fell from his throne and fell upon earth. Satan has access to heaven, as he explains in Job, "[I come] from going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." He came in the Lord's presence in the company of angels. I can picture him sneering at them as they bring him to the Lord. I could easily imagine God telling the angels not to bring upon judgment on Satan (that which he so rightly deserves) because that is withheld for the day of Judgment. I can also imagine the angels wanting to bring judgment on him but being faithful to their creator's commands. Satan stands on the left hand of God, while Jesus on the right. Satan whispers slanderous things into God's ear, while Jesus Christ stands and makes intercession for us in His other ear (Rom. 8:27). Satan also gains approval of his cruel plan. As we see in Job, Satan went to heaven so that he may test God's followers. This is something he regularly does. And when God gives permission (God doesn't cause it to happen, He allows it to happen however), Satan has a horde of minions, demons ready to obey his command. Satan then says to them, "He has allowed it! Go out there and cause havoc and chaos upon the lands." Likewise, the Holy Spirit (which is God) hears the prayers of the saints (the followers). This is where intercession takes place. Jesus is up there in Heaven making fellowship and intercession with the Lord. The Lord then in His will has the ability to take heed of our prayers and answer them. You can see how it is a spiritual warfare, as satan and his minions are always plundering the righteous, and securing the unbeliever against the Lord. At the same time, God's will is fighting the seperation (which is sin, satan and his minions). You can also see how the power of prayer is significant, as it allows us to create a direct fellowship with the Father. Our prayers are far beyond the power of satan! Sure God allows satan his reign on earth, but the Lord would never allow something to happen that we cannot bear (1 Cor. 10:13). God has everything under control. Free will has the rest, and unfortunately free will hinders His plan. And it is a VERY common misconception that satan is a devil with horns, hooves, pitchfork, and all red. THIS IS NOT TRUE. Satan was the most beautiful angel apart from God. I imagine him being just as beautiful, although Revelations depicts him being as a dragon thrown down on earth (symbolism or actuality?) Perhaps his fall from God distorted his image? Either way, regardless of if the fallen angels retain their beauty, they are malicious creatures with intents on bringing eternal suffering fro all of God's children. Satan DOES NOT HAVE free reign in hell. Hell is a place designed by God to be eternal punishment for satan and his minions (God NEVER intended it to be an eternal home for His Children, according to His Perfect Will). Why would satan have free reign in hell? That is like, prior to you committing a crime you get know you will get caught of, you go into the federal prison and claim the electric chair as your own. And again, Satan is NOT going to have free reign in hell, even when God's judgment sentences him and his minions there for eternity. Satan will have just as much power as everyone else sharing in the suffering -- that is to say, everyone will be powerless. "And they will yearn for even a drop of water to the tongue, but they will not find it" also, "They will try to find death, but it will not find them". Do not take God's punishment lightly. Hopefully this clears up any confusion that you may have about this fallen angel. Any questions please ask. |

You seem to understand alot, but I have a problem with all of this. If 'God' is all loving and a rather nice being, then why does he 'allow' satan to have his bash at us? If it's warfare then one normally goes all out, thusly why doesn't 'God' stop Satan from doing all this? Another question is why is Satan so bad? What is it about him trying to be different that 'God' hates so much? When I try to imagine Satan, I think of a man with long black hair, and big, beautiful, black feathered wings. |

what if i tell you that hidden within the gospels of thomas, judas, miriam, is the black gospel of the devil/satan, and it is all about the true resurrection and how to achieve said resurrection after long research over a period of a very long time we managed to discover how to find the long lost gospel of satan/devil and quite an eye opener it is. believe me i trick you not this is the real bible code and not the so-called davinci code, strange things happen if you are not to have this code in your possession (from newcastle upon-tyne,england mobile number:o7818827072) |
