Osprey Inlands
Kielder came away with 4th and 6th places at the Osprey Inlands at Blithfield. It was windy and cold. There was an excellent turnout - 21 boats, including some big guns. The racing was fast and furious with small mistakes costing many places. The Hartleys were flying and beat Cooney and Frith, the current National champions into second. Angrave and Smith, who won the Kielder open, were 3rd and Viola and I 4th. Rob and Ian got 6th and Alec and Angela 13th. It was not the gentlest of starts to the season, but it was great to be back in the boat. |

Well done everybody - for Viola and Mike to get these results on their first sail of the season shows real skill and teamwork. I still think they were robbed of half a season as champions by holding the inlands they won at the end of last season and then having this years so early...... |

Thanks Graham, but c'est la vie. It was an amazing weekend, very painful on the unprepared muscles, but very satisfactory as far as rssults go. Actually we am really looking forward to getting back to the club - we miss you all! Sadly this weekend is a race coaching course and the one after another Open at Tenby - but in May we will be back!
