Paani Laupepa Is A Thief
Everyone in Funafuti is challanged to wake up and smell the corruption. Ask your former Police Commissioner, now a MP, if they did or did not recover stolen property orginally destined for the Miss Tuvalu contest. While there, start asking if documentation regarding foreign investment was ever recovered. Why is it that when foreign investments goes through the government that the first problem is corruption? Why is it that foreign investment never sees the light of day in Tuvalu? Has any Tuvaluan ever asked "Hey Mr. M.P., tell me where do all the foreign investment proposals go?"
Panni Laupepa uses public office for private gain. He robs foreign investors, steals from Tuvaluan women and is a perfect example of everything that is wrong in Tuvalu. Instead of cooperating with foreigners - which would require effort - it is far easier to do nothing and look for handouts. This sadly makes Tuvalu nothing more than a grifting state.
Also start asking what Laupepa was doing to your ally Taiwan. He sold them out to PRC without a hesitation. He also solicited former military personnel regarding acts of sedition.
Tuvalu, you better start policing yourselves.
POVERTY OF OPPORTUNITY IS A MYTH. It is poverty of rule of law that is the cause of Tuvalu plight. |
