Boy is this a sad day for me. I've had a big lump in my throat ever since I heard the news. It's so ironic because I just got back from Nashville and I actually met Jerry's Grandson in Nashville. I talked to him awhile and he told me how Jerry's been battling Emphazema and it's just a matter of time. I didn't realize that a matter of time would be so quick. A lot of you know what Jerry Reed's music meant to me. I cannot even tell you how sad/ I'm feeling right now. Jerry is one of my biggest musical influences. The bright side is he's in a better place and he's not hurting anymore. I believe Chet got his picking buddy back. There having a great time pickin in heaven. RIP Jer! |
