National homicide Victims Memorial
Last year during the month of April there was a candle lite vigil in my city, this year I can find nothing. I live in Riverside CA, if anybody knows of a gathering please let me know. I looked at POMC site that listed National Remembrance Day for Murder Victims as Sept. 25, 2008. Does anybody know for certain? Also I found what claims to be the first National Homicide Victims Memorial at Rose Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary in Whittier CA 800-928-5150. Checked it out today and it's nice, with computer screen to veiw stories and photos and video. I am also finding it hard to find info. on what if any events are being held this week in my city.My son was murdered in Kansas City,MO. but I moved 3 hours away to Springfield,MO. it is a shame that I can't find any info. I have found articles of things in past years but no events for this year. I have looked in my local paper to no avail. |

Check with your local Domestic Violence Shelter they have a line to about everything and that is who is doing our Candle Light Vigil Friday. If not maybe this is what you are supposed to start for all those who have been through this and have no outlet either. You can do it in Memory and Honor of your child.
