Need some advise

As to many of you already know, people are slow to come forward in the cases of our murdered children.I am trying to look into setting up a reward fund for info. on my sons case.Does anyone know how I can get started? Does this help? It sickens me to think that if I can "pay" enough maybe my sons murderer will be caught but that seems to be how this sick world works. It isn't enough to just do the right thing and tell what you know, you have to get something out of it! Sick! Any advise is greatly appreciated! I have to feel like I am doing all I can!The police sure aren't doing anything!Thank you and GOD bless you all!

Re: Need some advise

Hi Vickie,

In Washington state they have a "crimestoppers" oraganization that offers rewards for unsolved crimes. Perhaps there is something like this where you live. Or check on the "parents of murdered children" (POMC) website, or you could see if local victims rights organiztions might be able to help you with funding. It is not a bad idea. As sickening as it is, tongues will talk when it comes to cash--just another byproduct of evil. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Love,
Lorre

Re: Need some advise

Vickie,
On my sons reward, we had a fund raiser.
We had donation cans with Justin's picture on them and the information on his murder and had them all over the town.
We then had a supper, raffle on things that people donated, bake sale and a silent auction on somethings and then a real auction bidding on the big items that were donated and a dance followed.
I then took the information and took it to the printers and had them make up reward posters.
Everybody was very helping I think it was because our family comes from a community where everybody knows everyone including three towns surrounding our town and also because things like this never happen in this area, it was devastating to us but to everyone around.
I then made sure that the poster read that the reward was for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in Justin's murder.
We have had some weird ducks trying to collect but that is why you have an agent screen the calls, our is the lead investigator in Justin's case and so far the reward is still offered and nothing has been told that the agent didn't already know.
This is Important that there has to be an arrest and conviction I think anyway.
You are right it is sick that we have to pay someone to come forward but that is what our society has become.
Our just reward will come when they meet our maker!
Thoughts and Prayers,

Re: Need some advise

We put up a reward when my son Wes, went missing, it did lead to finding his body and to a conviction of the men who had murdered him. Much luck and love.
