lyrics
Some of you have asked about the lyrics to the cd. So, I decided to posted them here, instead of sending out individual emails. Thanks for asking! -------------------------------------- An Emptiness Inside Of Me She was only 21, had a lifetime ahead of her She was a mother of two babies, which were sons. Sometimes, people that you know, can so quickly become strangers. In a blink of an eye, my life was changed forever. Chorus And I sit alone, and listen to the silence I wonder why it happened, what might have been, what never was. There’s a hole in my heart, an emptiness inside of me. Since you have gone, my world’s been torn a part. I miss you. break As I smile through the tears, and I try to go on with my life, the anger builds inside of me and I really want to fight. Now, it’s been 5 years, but it seems like just yesterday. The guilty got a pardon, but each and every night…. Chorus I sit alone, and listen to the silence I wonder why it happened, what might have been, what never was. There’s a hole in my heart, an emptiness inside of me. Since you have gone, my world’s been torn a part. Chorus And I sit alone, and listen to the silence I wonder why it happened, what might have been, what never was. There’s a hole in my heart, an emptiness inside of me. Since you have gone, my world’s been torn a part. I miss you. Oh, I miss you.. Copyright © 2003 -------------------------------------------------- Where’s The Justice For My Child When someone you love is gone, the memory is still so strong You'll think you see them everywhere you go A million tears won't wash the pain sometimes you think you've gone insane But the saddest part of all, is no one cares Where’s the justice for my child Why do the ones who kill and lie, always get a second try Has the whole world just gone wild Where’s the justice for my child And we see one man get murdered, somewhere across the sea The whole world is angered cause they show it on TV But in the towns that we live in, and where our children play A 100 or more people are killed here everyday Where’s the justice for my child Why do the ones who kill and lie always get a second try Has the whole world just gone wild Where’s the justice for my child We go to the trial and try to hide our tears Our loved ones gone forever, the guilty got 10 years The judge said he’s sorry, “The trial could only last three days. The courthouse is booked up with more cases on the way.” A juror said, “The sentence should have been more time. But, they couldn't agree on how much and it was almost five. They hurried their decision, so each could go their way I hope they thank the good Lord, their child’s alive today Where’s the justice for my child Why do the ones who kill and lie always get a second try? Has the whole world just gone wild Where’s the justice for my child And I'm so tired of people saying, “I know what you are going through.” The truth is you don't, and I hope you never do The jails are overcrowded there’s two in every cell. The one’s who killed our loved ones should be transferred straight to hell. Where’s the justice for my child Why do the ones who kill and lie always get a second try Has the whole world just gone wild Where’s the justice for my child? Why do the ones who kill and lie always get a second try Where’s the justice for my child Copyright © 2004 ----------------------------------------------------- Angel Day I woke up this morning, like any other day But with a million things to do, I must be on my way This week has been so hard, as this day was drawing near The day I lost the one I loved the one I held so dear I go to a party shop, for the things I need to buy Like ribbons and balloons, and the stuff to make them fly Then I tear off bits of paper that I place in each balloon After I write down what I am thinking and how I'm missing you Chorus Angel Day, a day you didn't chose But your life was taken part of me left here with you So until I get to Heaven, and see your smiling face I'll send balloons to you, on Angel Day Change up And I still don't understand, why things happen like they do And I can't imagine why God left me and took you So, I go to your resting place the same time every year It’s the anniversary of the day, I realized my worse fear And it’s hard for me to do this, cause I know what you went through But, I'm sure that you're an Angel, so I named this day for you Chorus Angel Day, (Angel Day) a day you didn't chose But your life was taken part of me left here with you So until I get to Heaven, and see your smiling face I'll send balloons to you, on Angel Day Modulate: Angel Day (Angel Day) (Sometimes, I think I can't go on) Angel Day (Angel Day) (It’s like I'm left here all alone) So, until I get to Heaven, and see your smiling face I'll send balloons to you, on Angel Day Angel Day, Angel Day, Angel Day Angel Day, Angel Day, Angel Day, .... Angel Day Copyright © 2005 ----------------------------------------------------- A Better Tomorrow I have always heard that life isn't fair And the injustice in this world is everywhere Life sure threw me some curves But now I know there’s a better tomorrow Like when the clouds open, up on a darken day The sunlight appears and brightens my way I know you're smiling down And wishing me a better tomorrow Chorus Every flower that blooms reminds me of you I think of the wonderful times we shared When the robins are singing a joyful melody I hear your sweet voice calling me Sometimes the phone rings and I'm lonely and blue Or a friend drops by when my heart is breaking into I know that you sent help to me for a better tomorrow Lead Chorus Each time I see a rainbow on a cloudy day Each time a butterfly passes my way Even if you just flew by to throw me a kiss It helps me along, it’s enough to keep me strong I know Heaven’s just a blink away And I'm ready but until that day I'll make you proud by helping others Find a better tomorrow I wouldn't trade having you here, in spite of the loss The love that we shared was worth all it cost And thoughts of you bring me happiness For a better tomorrow Chorus Every flower that blooms reminds me of you I think of the wonderful times we shared When the robins are singing a joyful melody I hear your sweet voice calling me I wouldn't trade having you here, in spite of the loss The love that we shared was worth all it cost And thoughts of you bring me happiness For a better tomorrow A better tomorrow Copyright © 2006 --------------------------------------------------- I Don't Need You I got a promotion at work today. I don't need you Everything’s going my way. I don't need you. Now, there’s a family down the street, who ain't got enough to eat. And their kids could use new shoes on their feet, But, I don't need you. My kids are away at college My parents are doing well. I married my high school sweetheart, she’s a real southern bell I went to church just yesterday, I listened to what the preacher had to say I even bowed my head when they prayed But, I don't need you. Chorus I've done it all by myself without help from no one else. You know I ought to write a book about how easy it is, and call it, “I don't Need You.” Lead I got laid off at work today. The boss said, “I don't need you.” My wife has run away. The note read, “I don't need you. My kids left college today, the tuition was more than I could pay And my mom just passed away. Lord, I need you, I went to church again today This time I listened to what the preacher had to say. And, I wept as I knelt down to pray. Lord, I need you I must have been such a fool to think anything happens without you. And I'm ready to be the man you want me too. Lord, I need you Copyright © 2006 --------------------------------------------------- Grand Reunion Day Oh, how I want to see my family, on the grand reunion day They left this world too soon, I guess their work was done But there’s so many things, I never got to say Chorus Grand reunion day, grand reunion day All our troubles have gone away We waited patiently to be reunited with our family It’s gonna be a grand reunion day I want to see my sister, my daughter, my son, my brother my husband, wife, my father, my mother All the ones who left this world and went on their way It’s gonna be a grand reunion day. Chorus Grand reunion day, grand reunion day All our troubles have gone away We waited patiently to be reunited with our family It’s gonna be a grand reunion day Modulate Want to see my neighbors, once again Even my in-laws will be my friends And all the childhood kids that moved far away It’s gonna be a grand reunion day I want to see my grandpa, and grandma, my aunt and my uncle my cousins, nieces, granddaughter, and grandson. It’s all part of God’s plan not for me to understand It’s gonna be a grand reunion day. Chorus Grand reunion day, grand reunion day All our troubles have gone away We waited patiently to be reunited with our family It’s gonna be a grand reunion day There will be hugs, kisses and tears of joy All the things we never understood will be clear When we all meet in Heaven, and walk the streets of gold A grand reunion day will unfold Modulate It will be like old times, but with no pain or fear All the ones we loved and lost, they'll all be here Then we'll walk through Heaven’s Gates singing all the way It’s gonna be a grand reunion day. Chorus Grand reunion day, grand reunion day All our troubles have gone away We waited patiently to be reunited with our family It’s gonna be a grand reunion day Copyright © 2006 |
