I've missed you guys.......

I haven't posted in a long while, but I do read all the posts. Things here in our little town and in our little circle have become so hectic. Seems like there is nothing left to smile about and at times I don't even feel getting dressed let alone getting out of bed, food has no appeal, my crutch is caffine and nicotine. coffee and smokes, my sustance. I'm having my own pity party incase it isn't obvious. Gramma Vi broke her writst at work so she is on workmans comp, they want to mess with her make life hard, her hubby is a royal pain and that my dear friends is being nice coming from his daughter in law, my husband has actually tuned in closer to my feelings and has learned to read when i need a hug and when to leave me alone... after 20 years it's about time!!!!!!!! :)
My daughter had to have surgery for infected hair folicles in her arm pits, when I asked the doctor what causes them he was so blunt i was ashamed and embarassed for my daughter,, He actually said it is caused from being "nasty andun clean" WOW shock to my self esteem since I am the one who raised her to take care of her body. Surgery went well and she is back to herself and taking 3 showers a day. Gramma Vi's doggie, Amywe found has a skin allergy, poor thing licks and cratches herself raw and the treatments for it upsether and make her bite, since ma has to do those treatments she is bit alot, I am the only one Amy does not bite, well anyway the last visit to the vet was December 1 the vet said there was really nothing he could do to make the allergies go away or even keep them in controll, they could do treatment but it would only be a "bandaide" and since Ma is on blood thinners for one of her many ailments, Amy's biting could pass the infection to Ma which I simply can't have, so we had to put Amy down on December 4. Ma and I did this together,I held Amy looking into her little face till the last beat of her heart and the last breath she took, crying through the whole thing which for Amy was quick and painless, but for Ma and I the pain was horrific. We looked into interment for Amy at a wonderfull pet cemetary called "Noaha's Ark Pet Cemetary" The prices are off the charts, so Ma bought a small doghouse urn and we had Amy cremated, she is here with me where she will remain. After all the dealing with Amy , we found out Ma has to have surgery on her wrist and won;t be able to go backto work for at least another 6 weeks if at all. Just one more slap in the face. She did get another puppy, his name is Tuggie Buggie Boo, we call him Tuggs, he is sweet and loves Ma, he fills the emptyness but will never replace Amy.
So, I vented,, now the holidays are coming,,(yuck) and i wish I could skip them.
Remeber us in your prayers my sisters
All My love

Re: I've missed you guys.......

Deaer Natalie,

I've missed you and Gramma Vi too. Maybe Gramma Violet need to be still for a bit, sometimes when we are quiet and still we can feel God easier.

I'm glad that things are better with your husband...I think that men are a whole different species!

Let us know the antics of Tuggs as new puppys are certainly a treat! I still pray for you and Gramma Vi every night. And I remember your sweet Travis and imagine that he and the rest of "the boys" are tearing it up in Heaven.

Love,
Lorre
