Home from the hospital

Hello MOMS,
well, it happened... I had a stroke! i'm only 35 years old and already going through this. We haven't even started going to court yet. I guess that I just got over stressed. My left arm still feels numb and tingles, the dr. said that it may never fully wake up!
I was in the hospital for three days, and on the second day I got a phone call from my 15 yr old daughter who was at school. She was freaking out crying and said that something was comeing out of her!! Well as we all know, NOTHING should be comeing out of a 15 yr olds vagina! My first thought was OH LORD PLEASE DONT LET HER BE PREGNANT! but she was rushed to the emergency room at the same hospital where I was at, and it turns out that she has a cyst, and she had started her period, and she bled into the cyst, and it just kept filling with blood until it pertruded through her vagina! YES! it is actually on the OUTSIDE of her VAGINA!!!! it looks really bad. She is on total bed rest for a while, the dr. wants to drain it but the risk of serious infection is too high. its just a waiting game now. she goes back to the dr.s tomorrow. please pray for her she has been through so much in just 15 short yrs. Needless to say, I left the hospital a day early, but I had to. My little girl needed me. Im feeling much better, but the dizziness hasn't gone away. If I cant handle the stress now, what am I going to do when we are actually going through trial!!!!!
p.s. Im really looking forward to Dec.5th and the candle lighting!!!

Re: Home from the hospital

Oh my Lord Michelle! I cannot believe it! I am so sorry and will certainly pray for you and your daughter. Please be sure to take care of yourself or you will not be able to take care of her. Did the doctors put you on any medication that can help? Was there any damage to your brain? What about your arm? My head is just spinning. And your daughter...I'm sorry, is there a reason that they are not surgically removing this cyst? Where does it originate from? I'm thinking you guys all need to head down to UCLA. Seriously.

Also, speak to your doctor about sedation for any court. I know that lots of people are against it but my doctor and I have realistically discussed it and for court appearances I am given a mild, short acting--in your system quickly (20 min) and out quickly (6 hr)--so that I can tolerate court as I have a heart arrythmia. I know it would give the defendant way too much pleasure if I dropped in court.

Sending you a million healing hugs {{{{{XOXO}}}}}

Re: Home from the hospital

Michelle, oh my.....I am so sorry that you and your daughter are going through this. I will say a prayer that you both are healed in body and spirit. Please take care of yourself because as someone said you need to be healthy for your daughter who needs you especially through these rough teenage years. She must be terrified at what is happening to her body.

And I hope you are put on medication to control the blood pressure.

Keep us posted on both of your progress.

God bless

Re: Home from the hospital

MICHELLE,
GIRL I AM JUST FLOORED OVER HEARING THIS....
THIS IS EXACTLY SOMETHING I HAVE BEEN AFFRAID OF HAPPENING TO ME, BECAUSE STROKES RUN ON MY MOTHER'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY. 4 OF HER SIBLINGS HAD STROKES IN THEIR LATER YEARS, BUT MY GRANDMOTHER HAD ONE AT 40, BUT LIVED TO BE IN HER 70'S . HAD SHE LIVED SHE WOULD BE 125 YRS. OLD. SO THAT WAS MANY YEARS AGO. BUT IT WAS STRESS RELATED. AND GOD KNOWS WE ALL HAVE HAD AND STILL HAVE ENOUGH STRESS TO KILL US ALL. BUT YOU DO NEED SOME MEDICATION FOR ANYTHING UP COMING IN COURT, THAT IS SOOOOO HARD. SO PLEASE DO THAT BEFORE THE TIME COMES. I KNOW THAT YOUR DAUGHTER WAS FREEKED OUT AND YOU TOO. MY DAUGHTER HAD A RUPTURED CYST AT 16, BUT IT WAS ON HER OVERY. VERY PAINFUL. I AM SAYING A TON OF PRAYERS FOR YOU BOTH. AND LIKE LORRE MY CONCERN IS THAT YOU ARE BOTH SEEING REALLY GOOD DR.S IF NOT PLEASE GET TO SOMEWHERE ELSE. PLEASE KEEP US POSTED ON HOW YA'LL ARE DOING.
I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CANDLE LIGHTING TOO.

Re: Home from the hospital

Hello MOMS,
I seen the Dr.this morning, along with my daughter, we are both doing better, I am takeing Inderal to help prevent another attack, and Fioricet to help with the stress and tension. It makes me a lil dizzy and tired but the side affects should go away as my body gets used to them. My daughter has to go see another specialist, they are not sure what they are going to do with her. Lorre, about UCLA, it is a very good hospital, I take my son there. He sees a kidney specialist. He has very high blood pressure. He is only 9 yrs old and his blood pressure is 158/79, sometimes it is lower, sometimes higher!! He may need a kidney transplant in the future. He is currently takeing Atenolol. Let's not forget to mention my husband, who has C.O.P.D!! (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and then of course, my 7 yr. old daughter who has asthma..... Life is just one BIG dr. appt. for us!!!anyways, thank you all for your support, I always feel the LOVE from my fellow MOMS!
I will keep you posted... I have to go back and see the Neurologist, my dr. was not to happy to hear that I left the hospital a day early against the advice of the Neuro. I just could not lay in that bed while my daughter was down stairs in the ER crying out in pain.
But I promise that I will take better care of both of us. I already discussed with my dr. about takeing meds during court. He agreed it is a good idea.....
I will keep you all posted....
Much LOVE, Michelle Villegas

Re: Home from the hospital

My goodness Michelle, as if you don't have enough on your plate. No wonder you had a stroke! Your calender must have nothing but appointments on it! I am so sorry. I will pray for healing for ALL of you! Please keep us posted on you and your daughter. Again I say, I wish we ALL lived in the same neighborhood; it is so frustrating to want to help and not really be able to. The best I can do is listen and pray. Thank you SO much for letting us know what was going on in the first place, I was wondering about you. I'm just thankful that you were able to contact us!!!

Sending MUCH love,

Lorre

Re: Home from the hospital

Dear Michelle, I'm so happy to hear that you and your daughter are doing better. You are so young to have a stroke, my god! I will pray that your left arm has it's full function as it had before your stroke. I have a 15 yr old daughter also, she must have been so scared.
Well, today is the day to light our candles for our children. I will be thinking of all our children as I light mine.

Hugs to you and your daughter,
Randi

Re: Home from the hospital

Michelle, I pray that God will grant you the peace and serenity you need in the trying days ahead. It's bad enough we grieve over the children we have lost, but then to also have other sick children and yourself at home is almost too much to bear. I pray God give you strength to handle anything that comes your way. I have lit my candles for my Joshua and all the other lost babies on this site. Please take good care of yourself and follow Dr's orders.
Stay blessed

Re: Home from the hospital

Oh my! Michelle, Just when you think you've had enough! I have to jump on the bandwagon and mention my father spent a month in the hospital, had every test that every specialist could think of. He was discharged without diagnosis. We took him to the University hospital, they told us what was wrong the day he was admitted! I can't speak highly enough about Universities!
Take care! Let your husband do the dishes. Better yet, stock up on chinet.
