lethal injection
I am a student at the University of California in Irvine. I'm writing a story on lethal injection for one of my classes and was wondering if there is anyone in this group whose child's murderer was sentenced to death by lethal injection? If there is would you be willing to let me interview you? I would appreciate it so much, ANDREA JUAREZ avjuarez@uci.edu |

Re: lethal injection
My son was murdered and his killers have not been caught yet. I would love to give them the lethal injection though or something even better. |

Re: lethal injection
I know! When I read the post I was thinking, I can only wish... While lethal injection does not take away any of the sorrow that has happened, I feel that when people chose to kill, they know it is on the table. As for me, I would sleep alot better knwoing these remorseless predators will without question never kill again. |

Re: lethal injection
Andrea, You could pick out any mom on this site and they could tell you exactly how they feel about lethal injection and further more about how they feel about the murders. Me myself think lethal injection is to easy a way to die by taking another humans life. But who am I to say, I'm only the mother of a murdered child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Connie Marchant |

Re: lethal injection
I am sorry but Mohammed Ahmad, the monster who beat my Myles to death, doesn't deserve a peaceful death like lethal injection. A baseball bat to the head and gut that would cause the blunt force trauma injuries my baby sustained would be more in line with what Mohammed Ahmmad deserves. A mother can fantasize can't she. I don't know about any of the other MOMS here, but frankly I believe the murderers who get the death penalty seem to be arbitrary. And although I don't believe in the death penalty, I don't see the point of state sanctioned murder that then has to be HUMANE. There is nothing humane about murder period. So lethal injections in my opinion are way to tame for these monsters. |

Re: lethal injection
ANDREA, I FEEL LIKE LETHAL INJECTION IS WAY TO EASY FOR THE PARASITES THAT YOU WILL FIND CONNECTED WITH US MOMS. I ALWAYS HAD A DIFFERENT OUT LOOK ON THE DEATH PENALTY ESPECALLY WHEN IT CAME TO YOUNG PEOPLE, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO SOMEONE KILLING YOUR CHILD THE WORLD TURNS UPSIDE DOWN AND SO DO YOUR FEELINGS. IF IT WERE YOUR CHILD WHO HAD COMMITTED THE MURDER AND RECIEVED THE DEATH PENEALTY THEN I CAN SEE YOU WOULD WANT THE EAISEST OUT POSSIBLE, BUT YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET THAT FROM ANY OF US. OR THAT'S MY OPINION. IN SOME OF OUR CASES LIKE MINE THE SCUM BAG WILL NOT EVEN SPEND 3 YEARS IN PRISON. IN OTHER CASES THEY HAVE NOT EVEN BE ARRESTED. WE ARE PROBABLY NOT WHERE YOUR GONNA FIND MUCH FOR YOUR PAPER. NOT ON THIS SUBJECT ANYWAY. BUT ON ANOTHER ISSUE WE COULD HELP YOU WRITE A BOOK. GOOD LUCK, KARREN |

Re: lethal injection
One of my College English papers was a report on capital punishment. That was probably 20 years ago. I was against capital punishment then. Someone told me then that if one of my loved ones was murdered, I would change my mind and feel differently. My son was murdered June 24, 2006. A former girlfriend (which he probably went out with for a couple of months last year) came to our home and shot my son twice. Our family was one of the lucky ones, if you can call it that, where the murderer was caught. Does it make it any easier to know who the murderer is? I'm really not sure. The Rialto Detective Department did a fantastic job and she was in custody and arrested within 36 years. Her preliminary hearing has been extended many times. This is taking it toll on Michael's family. I have asked myself many times, have I changed my mind regarding a death sentence. This person took my son's life. Does this justify death for the murderer as justice for my son? Do I want a death sentence for her? I do want justice for my son. A death sentence would only be years of pain and anguish for Michael's family. There would be continuance court hearings....appeal after appeal. A death sentence would be too easy. I want her to awake every day for the rest of her life and remember what she has done. I want every time she closes her eyes, to not be able to sleep. I want what she has done to my son to haunt her the rest of her life. I want her to awake every day behind bar. I want her to grow very, very old behind bars. In case she would forget, my son's name tattooed across her forhead would be great also (this was Michael's cuz idea). I believe most of the women in this forum, and I am speaking for myself, find that the justice system is one way - for the murderer - not the victim or the victim's family even if the murderer or murderers are found. The victim or the victim's family have no rights. There is so much pain and suffering in this forum, for you see we will never be the same - Our sons or daughters have been murdered. The murderer took all their choices away from each one of them. Write you interview on a lethal injection. Does it really mean anything, except for more years of pain and suffering for our sons/daughters family. Justice is all we want.... http://michael-ribaudo-sr.memory-of.com |
