I just finished posting video clips from last night's Finals Game 2 matchup between Riverside & Chelten. The video quality isn't great, and occasionally the shot only captures a piece of what happened, but I figured it was better than nothing & a way to get a feel for how the game went.
The clips are sequential if you cut & paste this link: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=77AC41DFE5F0D0E2.
If you just go to my "MONSTERPOD" account, they'll be in no particular order, so I recommend hitting the link or linking to the only playlist I currently have (labeled RIVERSIDE-CHELTEN SFCSL FINALS GAME 2 (July 30, 2008)). This will allow you to "see" the game in the order in which it was played.
One of the videos currently hasn't uploaded properly, but fortunately it's one Steve Staedtler posted on the SFCSL home page (Jeff K's two-run single).
Apparently the "." at the end of the link in the previous post is enough to prevent you from getting to the site, so just cut & paste the address without the period, that is:
Wow - How long did that take you? I know for me, it takes me awhile to download even 2 or 3 videos...you basically have most of the game right there! I probably had 8 or 9 videos last night but just picked out a couple of them...looking forward to watching them..
It took a lot longer than I had wanted it to...basically most of today (I did email & misc stuff between uploads). The good thing is that most of the videos are short. What took the most time, besides uploading them, was organizing them so a person could view them chronologically and get the gist of how the game unfolded. If I were to do it again Monday night, I've learned a few things how to simplify it further, but it would probably still take a # of hours to do again. I just figure it's fun for the league for people to be able to see and review. Hopefully it'll prove to be a piece of the puzzle that makes it enjoyable for everyone. Looking forward to Monday!
Thanks for taking the time to do this Timmy. Another example of the commissioners going the extra mile for the league. It was a fun (and not so fun sometimes) recap of game 2.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Riverside-Chelten Game 2 video
I'd have to agree that #24 was safe, but that's why we don't have instant replay and what makes the game of baseball/softball different then all the others.
